Responsibilities of Amare Ragdolls
Feline Health Record: Seller has provided the buyer with a Feline Health Record which documents the dates of all age appropriate vaccinations and anti parasite treatments.
Whiskers to Tail Optimal Health Guarantee: This kitten/cat is guaranteed to be healthy and free of any genetic disease at the time of purchase. This kitten/cat is free of FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus) and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). The Dam and Sire have been genetically tested to ensure this kitten is not a carrier for HCM (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy) or PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease).
Three Year Genetic Health Guarantee: If your kitten dies within three years of the date of purchase due to hereditary or congenital defects, Amare Ragdolls will replace the cat or kitten with one of similar or higher quality. Amare Ragdolls must receive proof of the defect in the form of a complete necropsy report, completed by a licensed veterinarian. Danu Ragdolls is not responsible for costs relating to the necropsy. If after reviewing the findings it is determined the death was under warranty, a replacement kitten will be offered as soon as possible.
Contingencies For Feline Replacement: If the seller replaces a kitten/cat for any of the reasons described in this contract, the seller is not obligated to replace the exact color or pattern. Amare Ragdolls will do our best to go above and beyond to accommodate the buyer’s request for a replacement. We will offer a total of up to three kittens as a replacement for the initial kitten. If the buyer turns down all offers by the seller, they forfeit their right to another kitten. There will be no cash refunds.
Pet Registration: All kittens/cats are sold with TICA Pet registration. Pet registration means your kitten/cat can be registered with TICA; however, offspring will not be eligible for registration (TICA NFB – Not For Breeding). Pet registration will be provided once Amare Ragdoll’s has been given proof of altering by the buyer.
Responsibilities of the Buyer
Exceptional Welfare: The buyer agrees to take good care of this kitten/cat, feed and house the kitten/cat properly, maintain appropriate vaccinations, agree to keep the kitten/cat indoors at all times, and not have the kitten/cat declawed. Buyer agrees to give the kitten/cat proper physical and emotional care and welfare. In the event the buyer is unable to keep this kitten/cat for any reason, the buyer agrees to offer the seller the first chance to take the kitten/cat back.
Cost of Care: Once the kitten/cat has left the Amare Ragdoll premises, the cost of care for the kitten/cat including, but not limited to veterinarian visits, lab tests, vaccinations, medications, surgery, or time off work is solely the buyer’s responsibility. No medical care is authorized or will be paid for by Amare Ragdolls.
The First Trip to the Veterinarian: The kitten/cat must be examined by a licensed veterinarian within 3 business days from the feline’s pickup from Amare Ragdolls to ensure the health of the kitten at time of possession by the buyer. A dated copy of your veterinarian’s health assessment must be received by Amare Ragdolls within 10 days of receiving your kitten or this guarantee will be void.
Upon the initial exam, if the buyer’s veterinarian concludes that the kitten/cat is not represented within the description of Amare Ragdoll’s Whiskers to Tail Optimal Health Guarantee and thus has a serious illness or deformity, the buyer has 10 days to return the kitten/cat, at the buyer’s expense and send the written veterinary report to Amare Ragdolls. If Amare Ragdoll’s veterinarian exam of said kitten/cat concurs with documentation provided by the buyer’s veterinarian report, another kitten/cat of equal or greater value will be provided to the buyer. This guarantee does NOT include minor nuisances such as Upper Respiratory Infections.
Fixing the Feline (Spay or Neuter): For your kitten’s/cat’s health and safety, we require your pet be spayed or neutered by the age of seven months. Female and male felines should be altered at 5-7 months. A credit card authorization will be completed and a $2000 charge will be authorized if the proof of Spay/Neuter is not provided seven months after the kitten’s date of birth. For this kitten/cat the date altering papers must be submitted to Amare Ragdolls is ________________. If my credit card is charged, then I show proof of having altered the kitten between five and seven months of age, a $50 processing fee will be charged. TICA pet registration will be provided once Amare Ragdolls has been given proof of altering by the buyer.
Vaccinations: The buyer agrees not to vaccinate this kitten/cat for FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). The buyer agrees to only give the kitten/cat one vaccination per day and to always request killed vaccines.
